Polish citizens continue to have an increased interest in visiting Albania.

The Institute of Statistics data show an increase of 33%, equating to 1000 more Polish nationals entering Albania in the first four months of this year when compared to the same period of the previous year.

The Institute of Statistics points out that after the increase in Polish visitors, also holiday-makers from Kosovo, Macedonia and Greece are on the rise.

However, it is worth noting that during April, Kosovar citizens entering in Albania were down by 4000, despite an overall increase across the last four months.

Meanwhile, Swiss citizens represent the nationality with the most significant reduction of entry to Albania, down by 10% during this year.

Despite more and more foreign citizens becoming interested in our country, more Albanians are leaving than was depicted by the statistics at this time last year.

According to the report, during the period January-April 2018, an additional 200,000 Albanian citizens left the country than when compared to the same period of 2017.

Despite the desire for Albanians to leave, foreigners are flocking to our country with more than 1 million visitors having been received in the first quarter of 2018, marking an increase of 7% when compared to the same period last year.
