Eliminating sewage in the sea, beach cleanliness and acoustic pollution are three of the issues that still require solutions on the coast of Lezha.

Therefore, the Prefect of the District, Gjergj Prendi, has asked the leaders of local institutions for maximum engagement in fulfilling their duties on the eve of the tourist season.

"Elimination of urban waste, elimination of discharging sewage into the sea or river and the creation of a suitable environment are the duties we must fulfill before the opening of tourist season," said Gjergj Prendi.

Lack of health services in the tourist area of Tale and electricity problems are some of the concerns raised by the Municipality of Lezha.

The administrator of Shëngjin, Tonin Uldedaj, demanded increased presence of police at the beach area to stop vehicle drivers occupying public spaces.

"The pavement is occupied by cars and we cannot interfere. The police presence must be increased," said Tonin Uldedaj.

"Tale Beach is still not yet covered by an ambulance service to assist vacationers," said the Tourism Director Ardjan Laçi.

The tourist season is expected to be officially opened on May 25, while the maximum commitment is needed to provide appropriate vacation conditions. Based on the reservations already made, this year numerous visitors are expected.
