Pack Attacks Rama

Former MEP, Doris Pack has issued some scathing commenta about Edi Rama's leadership, saying that Albania has entered a new dictatorship where the government is linked to crime.

During a meeting with Lezha's women Democrats, the former MEP says the pillars of democracy have collapsed and, according to her, the Prime Minister has captured everything.

The leader of the Democratic League of Women, Albana Vokshi, added to the accusations, declaring the municipalities as an example of the usurpation that she believes Rama has performed on the country.

“He usurped the local government illegally and unconstitutionally. One of them is Lezha, which is now in the hands of a person who has illegally and unconstitutionally occupied the municipality,” said Vokshi.

During her visit to Albania, former MEP Doris Pack was also received by the President of the Republic, Ilir Meta, who in a post on social networks described her as a passionate supporter of Albania, honest and with integrity, as we want to we see all the European representatives.

“Albania is at a crossroads today. After you came out of the dictatorship you were on the right track to Democracy.

“But now you are in a new dictatorial system. The Prime Minister has captured everything. The pillars of democracy are parliament, the justice system and functioning media. But none of the three exist.

“Parliament consisted of people with criminal records from the Socialist Party, and your country's Prime Minister put them on the lists,” concluded Pack.
