Meta On Dvorani

The Head of the Albanian State, Ilir Meta, kicked off the extraordinary conference with a toast to the establishment of the Constitutional Court, minutes after the institution published on its official website the names of the new members that had been sworn in at the Presidency the day before.

Ilir Meta yesterday held a conference lasting about 90 minutes, during which he accused Ardian Dvorani of having violated the Constitution.

Meta warned Dvorani that he would face many years in prison as a result.

But the chairman of the Justice Appointment Council, in a reaction to the media, said he was not afraid to face justice.

In the public interest, the President also indicated why he chose Marsida Xhaferllari and not Arta Vorpsi as member of the Constitutional Court.

In regards to Prime Minister Rama’s statements that internationals support Arta Marku, Ilir Meta warned his former ally of impending international investigations.

At the end of his speech, President Ilir Meta explained that if he accepts the situation created by the Justice Appointment Council, the country could take a turn in a dangerous direction.
