German EU Presidency, Gjosha: Government To Come Up With A Concrete Plan For

Former Minister of Integration, Klajda Gjosha, today called on the Albanian government to come up with a concrete plan as soon as possible to meet the conditions, which should have a deadline as close as possible, because according to her time does not wait.

In a statement to the media, Gjosha said that the song of conditions is not of the opposition, but is a song composed of irresponsibility, misgovernment, arrogance and denial of the reality that the government makes exactly the conditions set by the EU itself.

"Albania's European perspective is non-negotiable for us and will remain a priority until the country's full membership," she said.

The former SMI MP assessed that the takeover of the EU presidency by Germany is an extremely important event for the coming months of the EU itself, for the exit from the crisis, the pandemic, the economic recession and the European perspective of Western Balkan countries.

Gjosha: The Socialist Movement for Integration wishes success to the German presidency and we really believe in facing the common challenges that have troubled the waters of the world where we live.

Focusing on the German presidency, I cannot help but draw attention to the terms of the Bundestag and the great importance they have for the opening of Albania's negotiations.

I recall the necessary conditions until the first conference, such as the establishment of the Constitutional Court, the establishment of the Supreme Court, the completion of the Electoral Reform as soon as possible, the revision of the Media Legislation in accordance with the recommendations of the Venice Commission, the reduction of the number of Albanian asylum seekers in the countries of the European Union, as well as the construction of concrete data and results in the fight against crime and corruption.

Albania also has on its shoulders some other conditions, which must be realized as soon as possible and which have to do with essential issues of the functioning of democracy in the country and the rule of law.

The implementation of the elections, the legality or not of the June 30 elections, the punishment of the electoral crime, are a series of issues that today suspend the future of the country.

The European Parliament's latest decision to impose 15 conditions before the first conference is a clear indication of the EU's loss of patience over the Albanian government's disregard for key European Union priorities and core values.
