Violations by prosecutors cannot result in punishment due to what many are calling a “vacuum” created by politics. Disciplinary measures against prosecutors are under the competences of the High Inspectorate of Justice even though it has yet to be established. The majority accepts the deadlock, but we learn that a new solution can come from the Legislative Council.

Socialists advise that until the establishment of the High Inspectorate of Justice, the Institutions should report flagrancy cases to the Vetting authorities.

According to Vasilika Hysi, there will be disciplinary measures for judges by the Inspectorate of the High Council of Justice, unlike the situation with prosecutors.

Hysi says the competences of this institution will still be in force just until the establishment of the High Inspectorate of Justice.
