The draft law for the Academy of Sciences was approved amid debates in the Parliamentary Media Commission. The Chair of Commission, Fatjona Dhimitri, said that the proposals made by some academics were not reflected in the final draft.

Considering the gathering as a farce, Dhimitri abandoned the Commission’s work.

The meeting continued under the direction of the deputy chair, Milva Ekonomi, with each article of the draft law deposited at the Assembly in early April being approved.

The long debated and highly controversial draft law will pass through for the final approval on July 18.
