Constitutional Changes For The Crisis

The previous day's meeting between the leader of the Democratic Party and the allies of this political force focused on preparing a national platform for resolving the multidimensional crisis.

In an interview with RTV ORA, DP allies say that this draft will focus on resolving the constitutional and institutional crisis.

“We met in order to introduce and prepare a platform to exit from the crisis and, of course, think of other diversified forms of protest,” stated Petrit Vasili.

“We focus on being an opposition who denounces the corrupt affairs of this majority, but also prove we can be a ruling opposition,” said Nard Ndoka.

“We have the obligation to provide Albanians with a platform and we are preparing it to ensure that, when the day comes that our political wing takes control, we can implement it,” added Dashamir Shehi.

The allies argued that the crisis in the country is deeper than just adjustments to the electoral code.

“The thieves of the June 30th voting, who stole even themselves, are the last to speak,” continued Petrit Vasili.

“The Socialist Party game is both infantile and dirty. Regarding electoral reform, we agreed to have an internal opposition discussion to take a stand,” went on Fatmir Mediu.

“We see the electoral reform as important, but not whether it has deepened the crisis or generated the crisis, is something that must be considered,” declared Dashamir Shehi.

The Opposition has declared that, no matter what outcome October 18 brings from Brussels in regards to negotiations, they intend to intensify their protest actions following this date.
