Albanians living in Canada will now be able to benefit from retirement pensions even if they have worked in Albania.
The Finance Minister stated that are 60,000 Albanians that will benefit from this newly-formed agreement.
Meanwhile, no agreement has yet been reached with Italy and Greece, two countries which boast the largest numbers of Albanian emigrants.
Asked about the draft law on the investment corporation, the Finance Minister said that the recommendations of international financial institutions will be taken into account.
Since 2015, Albania has signed agreements with seven European countries for the recognition of social contributions.
They are currently also in the process of negotiations with four other countries where Albanian citizens live and work.
