“It is not about the fate or clash between parties but about the fate of Albanians, Democrats and Socialists. Can we continue on this way with a society caught in flagrance by the stealing of votes, the theft of hundreds of millions of lekë from Albanians, and lies about EU integration?!

Basha also gave his answer to the internationals who opposed the transitional government and the burning of mandates. Stating:

“In their countries, if the government is caught stealing votes, the government goes and the guilty people go to jail.

“This happens in every European country where Albanians migrate. Our job is to guarantee these standards for Albanians in our country.

“We will not accept anything less. Albanians do not eat and drink in diplomatic representations but live in difficult conditions,”

Basha also spoke about the opposition's sacrifice over their withdrawal of mandates:

stating: “The withdrawal of mandates, salaries and immunity is a sacrifice that the opposition, together with citizens, takes to pave the road for Albania's entry into Europe.”
