Taulant Muka, the new Deputy Minister for Education, has declared war on plagiarism, a mission which he acknowledges will not be easy.

As a part of the fight, Muka proposes Vetting occur in the education system, using a pyramid methodology working from the top down. This means that the Deans of Educational Institutions would be the first to pass through the process.

Plagiarism is a worrying phenomenon also in Kosovo and as such, since 2016, academic titles are being reviewed. Muka says that this action should also be brought to Albania.

Muka sees the post of Deputy Education Minister as an opportunity to contribute in reforming this sector. Earlier his publications led to the departure of Ervin Demo, while denunciations were also made against directors of private universities.
