INTERNSHIPS AT STATE ADMINISTRATION

During a meeting with university students, Prime Minister Eri Rama declared that the “National Program for Internships”, a part of the framework for the University Pact, is a great opportunity for further advancing the skills of students.

Rama added that the employment of excellent students remains a priority for the government.

Rama admitted that this strategy will allow students to acquire new abilities and higher qualifications.

“Following the internship, each student that passes the process will be able to compete for a job position in state administration.

“We have entered into a new stage regarding the relations between the government and the university.

“The vacancies in the state administration are open to all students of excellence. With the passing of years, these students will become more experienced and will be on their positions due to their skills,” declared Prime Minister Rama.

Prime Minister, Edi Rama accused the Dean of Tirana's University, Mynyr Koni, of being responsible for the lack of access to the "Digital Library".

Rama stated that the University can't be used only to create tenders and that it should serve the immediate student needs.

Moreover, the Prime Minister talked also about the evaluation of academic titles, saying that the University has done nothing in this regard.

During the conversation with the students on the National Program for Internships, the head of government attacked the Dean for the lack of intervention in reviewing the academic titles of those whom he called charlatans.

“The digital library was established; however the students of Tirana University can't use it due to the lack of capabilities in regards to the IT system. This is unacceptable.

“Meanwhile, the Dean complains instead of providing a solution.

“They demand to share the responsibility with us, but the University runs itself autonomously.

“This doesn't mean that it is autonomous only for tenders and for blocking Universities for tenders, but it means also that it has responsibilities,” said Rama.

Regarding the National Labor Practice Program, the head of government said that the focus will be on those who have completed high-grade studies to gain experience.
