DP responds, DP: Contract audited by US State Department

The Democratic Party has reacted to accusations regardign the lobbying contracts with several US companies before and during the 2017 parliamentary election campaign.

Answering the to the accusations by the Socialists, who were represented by General Secretary Balla and MP Gjylameti, the DP says that they welcome an investigate at any time.

"We welcome any investigation. Even the media are welcome to investigate" said the Democratic Party.

"The Democratic Party lobbying contracts are public documents that are provided to the US Department of Justice.

"Contracts and payments are made subject to the laws of the United States of America and are audited and controlled by the US government.

"However, Taulant Balla and Blerina Gjylameti are welcome to investigate them at any time. The Democratic Party will a copy available whenever they want.

"They are also welcome to take on Saimir Tahiri, Agron Xhafa and Moisi Habilaj as members of their investigation team" said the DP.

For the Democratic Party, the political assault from the Socialists has two aims: distracting attention from the criminalization of the government and the fact that the Socialist Party is in the service of crime.

"However, their voices can not cover the facts discovered regarding Saimir Tahiri, Vangjush Dako, Qazim Sejdini, Elvis Roshi and Edi Rama himself, who are plunged into crime and drug trafficking, endangering the national security, the political system and the economic future of Albanians" said the Democratic Party in their statement.
