Bank transfers
Frequent robbing of second-tier banks in Albania is expected to affect the level of risk assessed by international agencies for Albania.
Economics expert Ardian Civici says that such events have a negative impact on the economy and that measures should be taken to prevent such events as soon as possible.
Civici explains that bank transfers are a well-known phenomenon, as businesses invest surplus money to increase profits.
Meanwhile, recently lending in the country has become stagnant despite banks having over €3 billion in stock.
Civici says such events are expected to significantly increase service costs in banks.
The De-Euroization project has reduced the interest from second-tier banks in maintaining liquidity at the Bank of Albania, making the level of transfers abroad more sensitive.
