Archbishop to Albanians, Anastas: Christmas offers the antidote of insecurity

On Christmas occasion, Archbishop of Tirana, Durrës and all of Albania, Anastas Janullatos, issued a message to the Albanian people.

In his message of congratulations, the Archbishop has wished a blessed Christmas as he exclaimed that Christmas is here to offer the antidote of insecurity by reviving the mind and conscience.

“Janullatos: A general insecurity, like clouds of nuclear dust, has spread throughout today's society causing troublesome breathing difficulties. Many try to cope with it by accumulating material wealth of any kind.

“Others seek strong friends, people with political and economic power. Some find shelter in religious ideologies of Asian origin.

“People aim to gain security in a variety of ways.

“The Christmas celebration comes to offer an effective antidote against the virus of insecurity, reviving in our minds and in our consciences a truth that is often forgotten that "God is with us".

“This is precisely the meaning of the Savior's coming name, "Emanuel".

“Christ stands with us, not only in the hours of crushing repentance and adoration, but also in the turbulent days of suspicion and helplessness.

“Have a Blessed Christmas! Let it be a new year full of the assurance of Christ's presence in our daily lives and in the world's performance,” concluded Archbishop Anastas.
